Why We Started
It began with a question: if snow can protect plants despite freezing temperatures, could we create a foam that does the same — on demand, at scale, and without environmental harm? Working with leading researchers from Imperial College London, we developed a foam platform that could do more than just insulate. It could act as a platform of control able to solve problems beyond frost — from shielding plants against heat, acting as a pest barrier, retaining moisture, and even supporting soil health.
Our journey
Founded in 2022, our vision has always been crystal clear. By studying nature’s blueprints and collaborating with experts, we developed Frosco, a foam bridging innovation and ecology.
Year 1 - Inspired by Nature
We began exploring whether a biodegradable foam could offer growers natural protection against frost — without the complexity or cost of traditional tools.
Year 2 - Proven Safe for Crops
Collaborating with leading institutions, we confirmed the foam’s biocompatibility — ensuring it could be used confidently on fruiting crops without risk.
Year 3 - Tested in Real Fields
Trials with vineyards and research centres showed that our frost protection foam could maintain crop temperatures and preserve yield during critical frost events.
Year 4 - Expanding Capability
We’re now developing solutions for heat, weeds, nutrient support and more — all based on what growers are asking for in the field.
